Stronger regional cooperation and better management are key to overcoming challenges and achieving long-term and sustainable solutions, and inclusion is one of the most important factors of stronger economic development, said the Governor of the Central Bank (CBCG), Irena Radović.
She, together with the governor of the National Bank of North Macedonia, Anita Angelovska Bezhoska, opened the second day of the G100 Regional Economic Forum Balkans 2024, held on Wednesday and today in Skopje.
In her address, Radović emphasized the importance of regional cooperation and the creation of policies that encourage sustainable economic development.
The CBCG announced that this two-day event, organized in cooperation with UNDP and the Association of Women Managers, brought together more than 200 entrepreneurs, representatives of governments, financial institutions, civil society and academia from the countries of the region.
During the Forum, through several panels, key topics were discussed, including financial inclusion, sustainability through ESG reporting, regional cooperation and innovation in business.
Participants had the opportunity to share experiences on strategies and concrete initiatives that have successfully improved financial inclusion, as well as best practices of economic development.
At last year's World Economic Forum G100 held in London, Radović was recognized for her leadership in sustainable and inclusive financing, and on the same occasion she was elected G100 global leader and chair of the Financial Inclusion and Corporate Board Readiness group.
