The Minister of Energy, Saša Mujović, called on the President of the Board of Directors of the Pljevlja Coal Mine, Milan Lekić, to resign.
In a post on his Instagram profile, Mujović wrote that if Lekić does not do this, he expects the board of directors of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) to relieve Lekić of his duties.
Lekić was involved in an accident with his company vehicle "Infiniti" in Volođina Street in Pljevlja this evening. "Vijesti" was unofficially told by the police that, as they claim, Lekić was driving with 1,15 parts per thousand of alcohol.
"It is unacceptable for public officials to behave irresponsibly in relation to the functions they perform, and therefore to the citizens of Montenegro. After the information that the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Pljevlja Coal Mine, Milan Lekić, had an accident with his official car, which he was driving under the influence of alcohol, I call on Mr. Lekić to show responsibility towards the company he represents and resign," Mujović said.
