The State Audit Institution (DRI) confirmed that we left 204 million euros in the treasury and paid 95 million euros in debt, announced the president of the Civic Movement URA, former prime minister Dritan Abazović.
He said this on the occasion of the Report on the revision of the proposal of the Law on the Final Account of Montenegro for the year 2023.

Abazović noted that the SAI submitted to MPs the report on the financial operations of the two governments for the previous year and that the institution made a cross-section on October 31, 2023, when the handover of power took place, i.e. when he left the Prime Minister's office, and Milojko Spajić took over the leadership of the new Governments.
"Since I had the opportunity to see the preliminary report as the Prime Minister, I did not go public with the data. Now they have become official and are available to everyone, so it is worth commenting on the most important item, which is also the 'identity card' of the work of the 43rd Government," he pointed out. Abazovic.
He cited data which, he said, can be found on page 41 of the aforementioned document.
"The government I led left a surplus of 204.970.218,14 euros in the budget, reduced state debts by 95.427.137,06 euros by paying off debts from the previous period, and increased cash deposits by 111.300.904,34 euros."
Abazović claims that it will be difficult to "repeat these results in just one year" in the next ten or even more years.
"I consider this the best confirmation of the work of the 43rd Government, I am proud of everything that has been done, I am grateful to all my colleagues for the joint performance and the proof that when dedicated work is done in an honorable and honest way, results cannot be missing. To this we must add the fact that the Government that I led she didn't owe the state a single cent, so this result sounds really unreal and unbelievable".
Abazović notes that certain irregularities mentioned in the report are a matter for the new government.
"What happened in the period November-December 2023 and why there was a failure to fulfill the obligation of the Tax Administration, which had to be completed by March 31, 2024, is a question they should answer."
