The president of the trade union organization EPCG Željezara Nikšić, Ivan Vujović, said that the organization and the workers do not want to blame anyone for the current situation in the factory, and that they are only interested in working, as they say all the time.
As he stated in the press release, at yesterday's meeting with Minister Saša Mujović, they were told that Željezara is in a "dramatic situation".
"Not wanting to go back, pointing the finger at anyone's fault, we were told that in the coming period we need to produce 3 MW structures for SE needs in our facilities. For the month of November, it is necessary to produce 2 MW while the workers would settle down and some of them would be trained for jobs that are in short supply. What I can say on behalf of the workers is that we are absolutely and only interested in working, as we have been saying all along. We got what we asked for from the ministry and EPCG representatives, it's up to us to show it now. We just ask for a little understanding from them at the very beginning, but the most important thing is that we have to fulfill the expectations for this factory to survive. Surely the fact that Miloš Nikolić was elected as executive director, a man who lives together with these workers for this factory and its survival, is an indicator of this good will. The workers will do everything to fulfill the demands and for this factory to survive, and for the workers to keep their jobs," Vujović said.
Yesterday's meeting with Minister Mujović was attended by representatives of EPCG headed by Milutin Đukanović, as well as representatives of the company's management, in addition to representatives of workers.
