At today's session, the Government of Montenegro formed the Coordinating Body for the implementation of the "Velje brdo" project, which will be headed by the Minister of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property, Slaven Radunović.
The announcement of the Government states that the goal of the formation of this body is to establish coordination for the implementation of the project.
The Government said that the main tasks of the Coordinating Body are the preparation of the financial analysis of the project and the coordination of relevant institutions and contractors, in order to ensure the efficient implementation of the project.
It is added that the tasks of the Coordinating Body also refer to the monitoring of the use of budget funds and other resources intended for the implementation of the project and the preparation of monthly reports and recommendations on progress and possible risks related to the implementation of the project.
As announced, the Government also passed the Decision on amendments to the Decision on the Drafting of Amendments to the Spatial-Urban Plan of the Capital City and the Decision on Amendments to the Decision on the Designation of Heads of Drafting and the Amount of Salary for the Head and Expert Team for the Drafting of Amendments to the PUP.
"As defined by the program task, the goal of drafting the Amendments and Supplements to the PUP is to review the existing spatial planning solutions from the aspect of the need to provide preconditions for the realization of projects significant for the capital city and the country, including the investment and development project "Velje brdo" ", says the statement.
As it is added, the planning decisions need to be reviewed from the aspect of demographic changes in terms of increasing the number of inhabitants, bearing in mind the passage of time since the adoption of the planning document whose changes are being made.
The press release states that at today's session, the Government adopted the Plan for the preparation of the winter tourist season 2024/2025. year.
"The goal of creating this document is to connect participants at all levels, in order to enable the smooth preparation and development of the tourist season, which would result in an increase in qualitative, quantitative and financial effects," the announcement states.
As it is added, the goal is to increase the level of satisfaction of tourists, the tourism industry and the local population, as an indispensable actor of sustainable tourism development.
"The plan defines the activities that institutions and business entities, directly and indirectly involved in the preparation of the season, both at the state and local level, will implement before and during the winter tourist season," said the Government.
The announcement reminds that it is still evident that some municipalities in the north lack the initiative to organize events that will attract tourists, as well as the capacity to accommodate tourists, which are limiting factors for the development of the area as a year-round tourist destination.
"This problem was recognized in the previous period, so the Ministry of Tourism in cooperation with the National Tourism Organization (NTO) defined incentive measures to help in the realization of events, diversification and improvement of the offer, marketing activities, improvement of air availability," the announcement states.
It is added that the winter tourist season in the north is primarily based on the infrastructural conditions in the ski centers, and that it is therefore necessary to work on improving the existing offer, developing and diversifying new products or content, in order to additionally animate visitors in the event of a lack of snowfall.
At today's session, the financial plan of income and expenditure for this year for "Airports of Montenegro" AD Podgorica was adopted, which foresees the company's operating income of 40,43 million euros, which means that it is higher by 13 percent compared to 2023. year.
"According to the plan of the physical volume of traffic, which was made on the basis of the analysis of the received announcements of the airlines and the traffic achieved in the previous period, this year at the level of the Company, 13.825 aircraft will be served, as well as 2.888.502 passengers, which represents a growth of 15 percent compared to last year," the statement said.
It is added that the planned expenditures for this year amount to 27,78 million euros, which is 11,9 percent more than last year.
"The operating result, i.e. the planned profit, before taxation for this year amounts to 12,4 million and is better than the previous year by 18 percent", according to the Government announcement.
As they pointed out, the public procurement plan for this year envisages 10,7 million investments in the procurement of goods, works and services, of which 6,9 million refer to fixed assets, and 3,7 million to operational costs.
