After the adoption of the new Collective Agreement, the employees of the Airports of Montenegro will have their salaries increased by up to 10 percent, but not linearly, but depending on the workplace.

The President of the Trade Union Organization of Podgorica Airport, Slobodan Martinović, officially said this to "Vijesti" yesterday after the Government adopted the collective agreement of this state-owned enterprise yesterday.

"We have agreed the contract with the board of directors and the new calculation value of the coefficient will be 140, and the coefficients for employees will be increased by two to three percent. All this will contribute to increasing the wages of workers, but not linearly, but in a range from 70 to 120 euros, that is, with the lowest wages, there will be the biggest increase", said Martinović.

ACG workers unsuccessfully negotiated a collective agreement with the old management. The consequence of that situation was a strike in front of the Podgorica airport terminal organized due to dissatisfaction with the failure to reach an agreement with the employer ACG from the beginning of that year. Among other things, the trade unionists claimed that they did not reach an agreement on increasing the salary of the employees, adopting the rulebook on solving housing issues, regulating working hours in the operational, improving working conditions and safety at work.

The key problem over which the old management and the unions disagreed and could not reach an agreement was the request to the management to supplement and change the current Collective Agreement in that company in the part of reducing the calculation value of the coefficient for calculating wages, i.e. creating legal preconditions for the introduction of incentive measures for employees who behave responsibly towards their work duties and maintain the validity of their professional licenses for performing special tasks at airports. According to the management, this is the most important prerequisite for the long-term financial stability of the company and the improvement of ACG's business performance.

A maximum of 20.000 euros for solving the housing issue

The Board of Directors of ACG recently adopted the Rulebook on financial support in solving housing needs and improving the housing conditions of employees. The document is harmonized with the Statute and the Collective Agreement of the company with the previous positive opinion of the union organizations of Podgorica and Tivat airports.

According to the rulebook, the key condition is that the employee has at least five years of continuous service. The amount that will be awarded as support for solving the housing issue is a maximum of 20 thousand euros, while the amount for improving housing conditions is a maximum of seven thousand euros.

Management members are not eligible to apply for financial support on this basis.
