The Airports of Montenegro (ACG) announced today that they are calling on passengers to continuously check with selected airlines about the status of their flight, in view of the announced strike of part of the employees of the Air Traffic Control of Serbia and Montenegro on Saturday, October 26, from 17 p.m. to 18 hours.
"A strike by colleagues who are responsible for guiding aircraft through Montenegrin airspace from takeoff to landing at the airports where our mandates begin, may cause delays or flight cancellations, but we will, in accordance with the possibilities, try to realize all operations within our jurisdiction as much as possible .
The news announced today that the Air Traffic Control of Serbia and Montenegro (SMATSA) did not meet the requirements of the majority union, which should have a warning strike today from 17 to 18 pm at the airports in Podgorica and Tivat, but yesterday afternoon the SMATSA administration from Belgrade informed the union that she changed the act on the minimum work process and that it is now 100 percent of the usual work.
The strike committee told "Vijesta" last night that there will most likely be a warning strike in Montenegro, but that it will be more formal because in this period they only have two landings and takeoffs.
