Austrian companies that are present in Montenegro are a good example of management and entrepreneurship, but also an additional force for the economic development of the country, said the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Minister of Economic Development Nik Đelošaj.

As announced by the Ministry of Economic Development, Đelošaj spoke today with the newly appointed ambassador of Austria in Montenegro, Christian Steiner.

Đelošaj highlighted the excellent economic cooperation between Montenegro and Austria, with special emphasis on the exemplary foreign trade exchange between the two countries.

He also pointed to the increasing growth of direct foreign investments (FDI) of Austria in Montenegro.

He also emphasized the contribution of the Ministry of Economic Development to the European integration of Montenegro.

"We are working hard to close the negotiation chapters with the European Union (EU), where in a short time we have taken concrete steps on our European path, and by the end of the year we will close four chapters, where in three of them I and my team from the Ministry of Economic Development key contribution", said Đelošaj.

Steiner highlighted the excellent bilateral and constructive relations between the two countries and confirmed Austria's sincere support for Montenegro's European path.
