Gusinje is a municipality with huge potential, announced the Deputy Prime Minister Ervin Ibrahimović and said that the infrastructure projects Gusinje - Kruševo - Plav and Gusinje - Grebaje will be an integral part of the budget for the next year.
During the visit, the Government delegation informed the management of the Municipality about the Government's activities in the area of infrastructure projects, where the current challenges as well as the priorities of the Municipality were analyzed.
Ibrahimović, as reported by the Bosniak Party, stated that the Government will be maximally committed to the development of Gusinje.
The Minister of Social Welfare, Family Care and Demography, Damir Gutić, announced the construction of a multi-purpose facility in Gusinje at the beginning of next year, where institutions dealing with issues of social protection, employment and care for pensioners will be located.
The Minister of the Diaspora, Mirsad Azemović, said that the Gusinja diaspora is the best example of the relationship towards their homeland.
He announced that in the coming period, the focus will be on strengthening economic cooperation between local governments and the diaspora.
The Minister for Regional Investment Development and Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations, Ernad Suljević, announced specific measures to support municipalities in the north.
The President of the Municipality of Gusinje, Sanel Balić, said that he was more than happy about the good cooperation with the Government.
He stated that Gusinje will soon have all the facilities that modern municipalities have, above all a sports hall, tennis courts, a reconstructed school and a kindergarten, and that the focus will certainly remain on bringing important infrastructure projects to an end.
The President of the Gusinje Municipal Assembly, Edvin Bektešević, said that the common goal is to create the best possible conditions for the development of Gusinje.
The meeting concluded with an agreement on concrete steps and deadlines for the improvement of local conditions, with a common message that strengthening infrastructure and economic development is the key to the prosperity of the Municipality.
