The Ministry of Economic Development, through two recently adopted legislative proposals, continues concrete and intensive work in the process of European integration, announced the relevant minister Nik Đeljošaj.
At the session, the Government approved the Bill on foreign trade in goods that could be used for the execution of the death penalty, torture or other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, as well as the Bill on mediation in traffic and real estate leasing.
"Through these two draft laws, which were proposed and prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development, our concrete and intensive work in the process of European integration continues, where we can proudly say that the Ministry of Economic Development has achieved enormous progress in the direction of Montenegro's membership in EU", said Đeljošaj, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy.
The draft law on foreign trade in goods that could be used for the execution of the death penalty, torture or other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment was established. Bearing in mind that the current law was adopted by Montenegro in 2018, and that in the meantime the new Regulation of the European Parliament and the Council of Regulations (EU) 125/2019 of January 16, 2019 was adopted, the new law provides additional harmonization with the aforementioned Regulation .
The Government established the Proposal for the Law on Mediation in Traffic and Leasing of Real Estate.
The proposed law introduces order in this area according to European standards, which contributes to the development of the real estate market in Montenegro and raises the quality of service for users - buyers and sellers of real estate, who can be individuals and companies.
Also, its application will strengthen the competitiveness of business entities in this sector of business services, thus harmonizing the business environment in Montenegro with that in the EU, which makes the Montenegrin real estate market more attractive for foreign investments.
