Monteput signed contracts for the development of conceptual solutions for three high-speed roads.

"Those projects aim to precisely define routes and technical solutions, and represent an important step in planning a modern and efficient traffic system, with a focus on connecting regions within Montenegro and neighboring countries," the company announced.

The contract for the design of the high-speed highway Crnča - Pljevlja - the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina was entrusted to the Geotechnics Project & Consulting consortium from Podgorica.

The value of the contract is 157 thousand euros, excluding value added tax (VAT), and the deadline for completion is five months.

"The project includes a route with a length of about 93 kilometers, with the development of technical solutions for bridges, tunnels and other key elements, taking into account technical, ecological and economic aspects. This road will enable a better connection between Bijelo Polje and Pljevlje, and between Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina," explained Monteput.

The second contract was concluded with the company Via Project for the development of a preliminary design of the section of the highway Andrijevica - Čakor, worth 83 thousand euros without VAT, with a deadline of four months.

"That project includes defining the route that connects Montenegro and Kosovo. The valid Spatial Plan of Montenegro foresees the highway corridor Andrijevica - Peć, and the conceptual solution will define the optimal route that will enable the preparation of the next stages of project documentation and the final construction of this important road," the statement added.

The third contract, worth 107 euros without VAT, was also entrusted to the Geotechnics Project & Consulting consortium, for the design of the expressway Danilovgrad - Nikšić. The deadline for completing the project is five months.

"The planned road, 31 kilometers long, will improve the connection between the cities, while the connection with the main corridors, such as the Bar - Boljara highway and the Adriatic-Ionian highway, will further contribute to the development of the traffic network," said Monteput.

Monteput, as reminded by its representatives, adopted an ambitious Work Plan at the beginning of this year, the goals of which are made concrete through the signing of these and earlier contracts.

"The projects are part of a plan that focuses on the modernization of traffic infrastructure, in accordance with the strategic goals of the Government. The creation of conceptual solutions represents an important step in the preparation of project documentation for 18 sections of expressways and highways," said the company.

These sections are part of five development corridors defined by the Government, with a total length of about 260 kilometers of highways and 220 kilometers of expressways.

"The construction of the planned highways and expressways in Montenegro will significantly shorten the travel time, increase the safety and comfort of traffic," the announcement concludes.
