The Traffic Administration canceled a tender worth EUR 3.199.240 for the construction of a bridge over the Tara River, on the road section from Podbišće in Mojkovac to the Vragodo ski resort. The reason for this is that no offers have been received.
This is stated, among other things, in the decision published on November 18 on the website for Montenegrin Electronic Public Procurement (CeJN). This project is part of the reconstruction of the Mojkovac-Lubnice road, and the bridge would open the way to the Vragodo ski resort, whose valorization the Municipality of Mojkovac has been planning for a long time.
The tender was announced on September 19 and lasted until October 21, and was canceled under Article 140 of the Law on Public Procurement.
"The ordering party is obliged to cancel the public procurement procedure if none or any correct bids are submitted or the bidders are excluded from the procedure", it is emphasized in paragraph 1 point 4 of this regulation.
According to the documentation, it is planned that the contractors will carry out the work on this section in at least 14 months, that the construction period should not exceed two years, which is the guarantee period for the project. Cancellation of the tender means that the potential start and end of the works will be additionally delayed.
The Mojkovac-Vragodo road section, eight kilometers long, was previously built by the company "Bemax", and the project cost 13,2 million euros. Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordić during her visit to Mojkovac in August, she said that the Tara bridge is a priority project that will provide tourists in that town with better access to the "Žarski" ski resort.
The vice president of the Municipality of Mojkovac told "Vijesta" at the beginning of October that the announcement of the tender for the bridge is encouraging, but that he believes it will not go through. Ivan Ašanin.
