The economic team of the Strategy for European and Civic Montenegro (STEGA) warned that the sale of assets of the company "13. Jul - Plantaže", which is majority-owned by the state and, as they point out, the leading brand of Montenegrin viticulture, is continuing.
"Confirmation of this is the auction (No. 101/24 of 15.11.2024) scheduled for 28.11.2024, where the sale of property of over 10.000 m2 with accompanying property, including the equestrian club, was offered. times, the public remains deprived, which reflects the public and the company's interest in the sale of property, if the practice of this way is not continued "covers" losses in business. We remind you that the previous management of this company was criminally prosecuted for similar business "ventures" and the way of managing this valuable state-owned company.
They repeated the call for the Parliament to launch an interpellation on the work of the Government in the field of viticulture, "in accordance with Article 108 of the Constitution of Montenegro", because, as they said, after the introduction of excise taxes on wine, this is "a continuation of the policy of destruction of this, for Montenegro Goru, significant economic activities".
"We especially call for an urgent statement on this by the Government, which exercises ownership rights in the 'Plantations' on behalf of the state, and the relevant Ministry of Agriculture. We are free to interpret their 'silence' on such an important topic as 'agreement' with this devastating policy of managing state property and state resources," said STEGA.
