The municipality of Kolašin has announced a tender for the development of a conceptual solution (ID) for the construction of a gondola, which will connect the suburban settlement of Breza with the private and state ski resort on Bjelasica.
According to the project task, the construction of the gondola will "create additional content, which will expand the local tourist offer, but also intensify communication between relatively distant tourist facilities".
The ID building guidelines, as explained, should be defined "in accordance with the valid spatial planning documentation, amendments and additions to the planning documentation, which are in the final phase, the master plan of the ski area...".
As written in the project assignment, the intermediate stations will be the Railway Station, Smrčje, a private ski resort, and the final station at the state ski center.
As it was suggested to the authors of the future ID, "it is necessary to design in such a way that it is functionally connected with the existing ski resorts and forms a single unit". The elevation of the departure station, as planned, will be at about 940-960 meters above sea level, and the exit station at 1.550-1.650, while the capacity of the gondola is 2.000 passengers per hour. The Kolašin gondola is on the list of state capital projects for next year and will cost 60 million euros.
