Radulović: "Ocean Race" is an opportunity for Montenegro to promote environmental awareness and preserve the marine ecosystem

Hosting the finals of the "Ocean Race Europe 2025" race for Montenegro is an opportunity to promote sustainability, environmental awareness and preserve the marine ecosystem, said Minister of Maritime Affairs Filip Radulović during his speech at the "Ocean Race" Summit held in Alicante.

At this gathering, the minister emphasized the uniqueness of Boka Kotorska, which will host the grand finale of the race, and invited all participants and lovers of the sea to celebrate the connection between man and the ocean together.

"There is a certain magic in sailing - it is not just a sport, it is a way of life. This global event is an opportunity to preserve natural resources and promote the maritime culture of Montenegro," said Radulović.

He emphasized the importance of the maritime tradition of Montenegro and its role in maintaining the ecological balance.

"Seafaring was the basis of life in Boka Kotorska and left its mark on our great cultural heritage. The Ocean Race Europe is an opportunity to inspire new generations to engage in seafaring, encouraging love for the sea and passion for sailing," said Radulović.

Radulović announced that the amendments to the Law on the Protection of the Sea from Pollution from Maritime Facilities will significantly improve preventive environmental protection measures and provide joint actions with neighboring countries in the fight against possible pollution.
