The newly appointed management team of the IPA structure works dedicatedly on the realization of tasks and obligations, despite numerous challenges and frequent changes in the system, announced the State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and the National Certification Officer (NAO), Milica Adžić.
She held an introductory meeting as part of the verification mission of the Audit Unit of the Directorate General of the European Commission (EC) for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR), with the auditor in the Unit for DG NEAR, Bojana Milićević Manunta, and member of the verification mission Joerio Goossens.
"The management structure in the Ministry of Finance, and other teams of competent ministries, management and intermediary bodies, made significant efforts in order to, despite the reorganization of the Government, design and form a stable institutional framework for the IPA III perspective, and within the stipulated deadlines, the EC, delivered the accreditation packages for the mentioned programs", said Adžić.
She wished the EC auditors a successful and productive work, thanking them for their exhaustive cooperation, as well as the representatives of the relevant institutions, which make up the IPA structure for the indirect management of EU financial support within the mentioned programs.
The Ministry of Finance explained that the verification mission of DG NEAR this year is being carried out with the aim of entrusting the execution of budget tasks within the financial perspective of IPA III for the Annual Action Program for this year and two multi-year Operational Programs in the field of employment and social policy and the field of the environment and of climate change for the period from now until 2027.
The verification mission has been carried out since Monday and will be completed tomorrow, when the final meeting will be held, during which the key messages and further steps of the national authorities towards the full accreditation of the program and the use of available EU support funds will be presented.
During this week, meetings will be held with the management structure of the Ministry of Finance, and with representatives of the Ministries of Labour, Employment and Social Dialogue, Social Care, Family Care and Demography, Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development, Education, Science and Innovation and European Affairs, the Administration for capital projects, the Employment Agency and the Auditing Body of Montenegro.
