Marija Konjević was appointed as the executive director of the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Activities (EKIP).
This was decided at the session of the EKIP Council on November 23. Konjević is a senior information technology specialist - programmer at that agency.
The council announced a public competition for the executive director on September 25, and six candidates applied.
Until now, the function of executive director was performed by Darko Grgurović, and the mandate of the newly appointed director of the Agency begins on January 23, 2025.
"After the procedure and interview with the candidates who met all the general and special conditions of the competition, the members of the Council made the choice according to their free judgment, based on the discretionary right, the basis and limits of the authority given to them by the Law on Electronic Communications and the general act of the Agency, and in accordance with the goal in which this authorization was given to them, taking into account the objective evaluation criteria that were stated in the tender," announced EKIP.
