The company Bemax denied all the accusations of the Directorate for Management of Forests and Hunting Grounds about, as they said, the alleged usurpation of state land.
"Due to the management's unfounded allegations about the alleged usurpation of state land, the Bemaks company resolutely denies all accusations and emphasizes that it is a road through the bushes which, according to the extract from the cadastre, is located within the boundaries of the exploitation field of Bioča and connects the two ends of the quarry, to which our company has an unfettered right of use," the company's response states.
The administration filed a criminal complaint against Bemaks with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Bijelo Polje, due to the usurpation of state land. The Administration previously announced that it was determined that Bemax in the Lozna Business Unit in Bijelo Polje had usurped state land by illegally cutting a 400-meter-long road.

From Bemaks, as evidence confirming their legal basis, they attached a concession contract for detailed geological research and exploitation of the occurrence of the mineral raw material of technical-building stone Bioča, concluded with the Ministry of Economy on October 12, 2020.
The company also attached the decision of the Ministry of Energy and Mining from April 4 of this year, approving the redefinition of the Bioč exploitation field, which expanded the scope of Bemaks' concession rights.
"The Bemaks company expresses particular surprise at such statements by the Administration, especially because there is an agreement on business and technical cooperation between the Forestry Administration and our company, signed on November 2, 2020, which regulates cooperation in the subject area," said Bemaks.
That contract, as they explained, clearly specifies the remittance and cutting at the location of the technical-construction stone deposit, which proves that all activities in the said area were carried out in accordance with legal regulations and with the consent of the competent institutions.
"Bemax emphasizes its commitment to respecting the law, contractual obligations and transparency in business. We expect the Administration to withdraw the unfounded claims and take steps towards respecting already existing contractual relations. We are ready, as always, to provide full legal documentation, in order to clarify all ambiguities," the company said.
They called on the competent institutions and the public to focus on facts and official documents, instead of, as they said, baseless accusations that damage the reputation and integrity of the company.
