The Executive Director of Railway Transport of Montenegro (ŽPCG) Dragana Lukšić said that she will not resign because, as she said, that would mean running away from the problems that ŽPCG is facing.
Lukšić, regarding the request for her resignation made by a certain number of employees, pointed out that she assumed the position of executive director of ŽPCG a month ago "and found exactly this state of rolling stock".
"Immediately after assuming office, I focused my efforts on introducing order, work and discipline in the company - which, obviously, did not suit a certain number of employees", Lukšić added.
She stated that on the third day after assuming her duties, she visited the repair institutes where EMV (electric motor trains) and two "Z" passenger seating cars are repaired with engineers from the technical sector.
"In view of the completed works and in agreement with the repairer, we expect the arrival of one EVM by the end of this year, and the arrival of two "Z" cars by the end of January next year, which would bring our fleet of rolling stock to a satisfactory level," said Lukšić. .
As she stated, this would result in regular railway traffic without the use of alternative transport.
"After a few days, I also visited the overhaul institute in Craiova (Romania) where the electric locomotive is located, with the same goal," said Lukšić.
She said that her goal remains the improvement of ŽPCG, in the interest of all citizens and employees, through responsible and dedicated work, by taking all the necessary steps in order to operate efficiently and protect the interests of society.
"For this reason, I will not resign because it would mean running away from the problems facing the ŽPCG, I can freely say the biggest since its foundation," said Lukšić.
She added that it is made available to the relevant Ministry, the Board of Directors.
"And to other employees who do not support this type of treatment towards the Company and service users who use the train as a means of transportation," Lukšić added.
