Vukićević: It must be known whether ŽPCG workers are engaged in the same jobs with other employers

Vukićević said that the common goal in the coming period should be the recovery of ŽPCG, and in that direction the position of the Ministry of Transport is that the salaries of the company's management should not be increased, because, she added, there were also such proposals.

The employer must know whether the employees of the Railway Transport of Montenegro (ŽPCG) are engaged in the same jobs with other employers, announced the Minister of Transport, Maja Vukićević.

She said that the common goal in the coming period should be the recovery of ŽPCG, and in that direction, the position of the Ministry of Transport is that the salaries of the company's management should not be increased, because, she added, there were also such proposals.

"Today, together with my colleagues in the Ministry of Transport, I held a meeting with the representatives of the train drivers' union of the Railway Transport of Montenegro, which was also attended by Mr. Srđan Keković, the General Secretary of the Union of Free Trade Unions, as well as the chief railway inspector Veselin Mandić and the executive director of the Railway Transport Dragana Lukšić. After several hours of discussion and presentation of arguments, the ministry's position was that the annexes must be signed, which guarantee the safety of railway traffic, and which imply that the employer must know whether employees of the Railway Transport of Montenegro are engaged in the same jobs at other employers," wrote Vukićević in a post on Facebook.

She said that they suggested that the content of the annex be changed in such a way that the employee has the right to perform supplementary work with another employer in the same activity, provided that such work does not violate the provisions of the Law on Safety, Organization and Efficiency of Railway Transport, with the prior consent of the employer.

"Also, it was left to the management of the railway transport to talk with the dismissed workers and, if there is a will, with the signing of the annex to the contract, they will be returned to work. What is the clear position of everyone in the Ministry of Transport is that we will continue to provide full support to the Railway Transport of Montenegro, but also that we expect that after the inspection control and internal control within the company itself, it will be established whether there was intentional decommissioning of trains and that the persons found to be she participated in that and was sanctioned in accordance with the law," Vukićević said.

"Regarding the request for a salary increase, the clear position is that the management of the Railway Transport should negotiate with the workers, and that the situation in which the Railway Transport is currently located should be taken into account, and that should be left for some future period," she concluded.
