The Employment Agency (ZZZ) will actively work on the implementation of the Youth Guarantee program, which was presented today in Ulcinj, in order to ensure that young people get the necessary skills and opportunities for employment, said the director of that institution, David Perčobić.
"Our mission is to empower young people and enable them to become active participants in the labor market. The Youth Guarantee program is an opportunity to build a better future together for generations to come," said Perčobić.
He stated that it is important that we all participate in this process and support the implementation of the program.
"This program is a key step towards reducing unemployment among young people and creating better conditions for their development," said Perčobić.
The vision of the Youth Guarantee program is clear - to provide every young person between the ages of 15 and 29 with the opportunity for job training, skill development and career building in accordance with their own potential in their country.
The Youth Guarantee program will start as a pilot project in January next year in three municipalities: Nikšić, Bijela Polje and Ulcinj.
The President of the Municipality of Ulcinj, Genci Nimanbegu, agrees that this is an extremely important program for young people from the southernmost municipality, stressing that he has great expectations from it.
"Our municipality is dedicated to creating an environment that encourages young people to stay here and contribute to the development of the community. The Youth Guarantee program is an opportunity that we must not miss," said Nimanbegu.
The goal of the program is to provide support to young people in Montenegro, aged 15 to 29, in the transition from education to the labor market. The basic idea of the program is that, within four months from the end of education, unemployment or cessation of active participation in the labor market, young people get the opportunity for a quality job offer that matches their abilities, qualifications and interests, all in accordance with the needs of the labor market.
"In addition, the program will provide access to practical training or an internship program to improve their skills, as well as additional education to gain competitiveness," the statement said.
The national coordinator of the program, Dragana Vojvodić, presenting the goals of the program, said that young people will be provided with support for starting their own business, if they have entrepreneurial ideas and ambitions that they want to achieve.
During the discussion, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and comment on the information presented. They discussed the challenges and opportunities that the program brings, as well as the importance of cooperation between different sectors.
Perčobić spoke in more detail with Nimanbegu about this program and other cooperation modalities related to support for young people and other job seekers.
