The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Dialogue has announced that today the Framework Agreement on the regulation of mutual relations regarding insurance tenure with increased duration was concluded.
As they explained, the agreement enables former workers of the metal-mining sector from the companies "Tosčelik", "Radvent", "Minel Promont" and "Bumech Crna Gora" to exercise their right to a pension, while respecting their work engagement in jobs with beneficial seniority.
"The conclusion of the agreement is the result of a joint effort by the Government of Montenegro, the Labor Fund and representatives of former workers, based on legal provisions and the practice of the European Court of Human Rights," the ministry said.
They said that the Labor Fund will provide the payments of contributions needed to connect the seniority, which will enable retirement in accordance with the current legislation.
"The Ministry remains committed to solving the status of former workers, confirming a socially responsible approach to challenges in the field of social protection," the announcement reads.
