Predrag Ivanović, the dismissed acting director of the Budva Municipal Company, announced that the workers in that company are not threatening to strike, and that they have been paid their salary and winter leave.
"Due to the misinformation that appeared in the media that the workers of our company are threatening to strike and that there is not enough money for salaries, we would like to take this opportunity to announce that these are untruths and gross deceptions. Part of the board of directors that tried to carry out a coup by political dictate dismissed the company's director in order to create chaos, unfortunately they continue to mislead the public. The only and exclusive truth is that the workers of Komunalna doo Budva received their wages as well as their winter pay for the current year. It's simple It's unbelievable how unverified information is published, without anyone contacting the company's management and checking the validity of the information they receive," Ivanović pointed out in the announcement.
According to him, "media headlines that our company is in chaos and similar are interpreted as a political attempt to harm us".
"All citizens of Budva know that these days, just like today, there was no employee strike. It is true that part of the board of directors tried to persuade and encourage a number of employees to go on strike, which would serve their political interests and create chaos. We know them attempts to persuade the employees to stop the removal of municipal waste and to fill Budva with garbage, despite the clear obstruction of some of the board members who are forcibly trying to install Ilija Gigović, the board member from the list "For the future of Budva-Mladen Mikijelj" to the position of director, our company continues to function and perform activities that are within our competence. All attempts to destabilize our collective will be successfully prevented and we will not allow anyone, for the sake of their political interests, to harm our city and citizens of Budva," Ivanovic said.
"Vijesti" announced today that the employees of the Budva Communal Company, primarily in the Čistoća work unit, are threatening to strike if the November salary is not paid by the end of the week.
This was confirmed to the "News" by the Board of Directors of that municipal company, which has been in complete chaos for a month, since the acting director Predrag Drago Ivanović was dismissed.
