The Customs Administration has completed the list of cigarettes that were seized and are in the Free Zone of Port Bar, containers and trucks of the customs there, as well as the customs warehouse of "Zetatrans".
This was said by the acting director of the Customs Administration, Maja Vučinić, at the presentation of the half-yearly work report.
She said that they are working on the destruction of cigars, and they are planning to call for a tender because the process is expensive.
"Cigarettes will not be burned, but will be destroyed in another way, but I cannot tell you too many details, because everything is decided by the Coordination Body," she stated.
The coordinating body for the inventory of confiscated goods in the "Luka Bar" Free Zone, chaired by Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, adopted a plan for the inventory and destruction of confiscated cigarettes at the beginning of April, and at that time it was emphasized that it was necessary to make the entire process as transparent as possible, in which participation would also help. representative of the British HMRC.
Vučinić stated that they cooperate with HMRC, and that they received a grant from the European Union for the destruction of cigarettes worth up to 1,5 million euros.
When asked about the excise taxes that the state has been introducing for still wines since January, which was why smaller wineries previously protested, Vučinić explained that the collection will be based on the quantity sold.
According to him, winemakers submit a report on the quantities sold for the previous month by the 15th of the month, on the basis of which the excise declaration is submitted and the excise tax is calculated.
Vučinić, when presenting the work report for the period from July to December this year, said that the National Implementation of the new Computerized Transit System (NCTS), which has not been introduced since 2018, began in October, and that the Customs Decision System has also been operating since August ( CDS), the application of which will begin next year.
The Head of the Department for Customs Control Equipment and Weapons, Aleksandar Savković, said that from mid-July to the end of December, 32.799 detailed controls of vehicles and goods were carried out, where 234 irregularities were found, 247 misdemeanor orders were issued and 222.705 euros in fines were issued.
"Smuggled goods worth 427.439 euros were confiscated, we also had 11 cases of temporarily seized money. Among the valuable seizures we had 15 pieces of 'Ant Miller S19' cryptocurrency mining device at the Ranche border crossing, at the Dračenovac GP, the smuggling of 20 kilograms of marijuana was prevented on the 26th. The head of the Department for excise declarations, special tax declarations and excise stamps, Jelena Đukić, stated that revenue collection in the last six months increased by 74,38 million euros compared to last year, or 12,3 percent, that is, 678,49 million euros were collected. euros.
