At the repeated tender for the construction of the western ring road around Podgorica, the Traffic Administration chose the offer of the company "Bemax", worth 20,39 million euros. This section is three kilometers long, and will be built on the stretch from the Komanski bridge to the roundabout near the "Grand" furniture salon in Donja Gorica.
The tender worth 20,4 million euros was announced at the end of September and lasted until October 24, and two offers were received by the company "Bemax" and "Briv Construction". At the end of November, the administration determined that the offers of these companies were incorrect, and requested the cancellation of the tender. "Bemax" filed an appeal against that decision, after which it was decided in mid-December to repeat the tender.
Thus, the job of building the ring road now belonged to the company "Bemax", while "Briv construction" was excluded from the tender because their offer was incorrect, i.e. the Administration found that part of the documentation on professional and technical ability was marked as confidential.
This is stated in the decision published on December 30 on the website for Montenegrin Electronic Public Procurement (CeJN), with a note that it is possible to appeal it within ten days.
The western bypass is planned from the roundabout at the Komanski Bridge to the roundabout on the boulevard in Donja Gorica, near the "Grand" furniture store. The boulevard will have sidewalks on both sides, four lanes, three intersections and one roundabout.
Director of the Traffic Administration Radomir Vuksanovic said at the end of September last year that the deadline for the completion of the works is 18 months from the introduction of the contractor into the work. He announced this during a meeting with the Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, director of Monteput Milan Ljiljanić and the then mayor of Podgorica Oliver Injac.
The road is being built through a co-financing agreement, whereby the Administration finances the construction of the boulevard, and the Capital City finances the expropriation of land and the construction of communal infrastructure.
"Our duties were the preparation of the project and technical documentation, then expropriation and communal infrastructure. A lot of work has been invested in the previous months, and we expect that the dynamics will go according to plan, and that the works will soon begin to the satisfaction of the citizens of Podgorica", emphasized Injac and added that this is a priority infrastructure project, which will facilitate transit around Podgorica .
In the same way, the reconstruction of Vojislavljevića Street, which stretches through the Zabjelo neighborhood, from the roundabout on Petrovački put to Cetinjsko put, where there are daily traffic jams, will be financed. The work of reconstruction of this 3,2-kilometer road worth 14,49 million euros was awarded to the company "Crnagoraput" in mid-December last year.
The start of these works is expected soon, and the deadline for their completion is also a year and a half.
