A Renault Laguna vehicle, owned by Rudnik Uglja, burned down yesterday in a fire in the Pljevlja village of Rađevići.
This information was confirmed by the Coal Mine.
"We were informed that a passenger vehicle owned by RUP was damaged last night. The management has asked the relevant services, with the help of the relevant services in the company, to obtain all information regarding this event, after which we will decide on further appropriate steps," they briefly told Vijesti from Rudnik uglja.
According to unofficial information, the vehicle that burned down was used by the recently elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Coal Mine, Dragoljub Krezović, who is a party comrade and friend of Milan Lekić, his predecessor in that position, who is still employed by the company as a mining engineer.
It is not known whether the fire was caused by a malfunction in the vehicle's electrical installations or whether the fire spread to the vehicle after setting the meadow on fire, given that footage available on social media shows that a large part of the meadow was also set on fire.
The meadow where the vehicle burned, according to unofficial information from Vijesti, is owned by Milan Lekić.
Vijesti was unable to contact Lekić yesterday, because he was unavailable on the number he had been using until recently.
On October 11th of last year, Lekić had an accident with his official Infiniti vehicle on Volođina Street in Pljevlja.
He was fined 750 euros by the Bijelo Polje Court for causing an accident in Pljevlja while drunk. The accident caused extensive material damage to Rudnik's car. After the accident, Lekić resigned as president of the Board of Directors of Rudnik Uglja.
