Working groups that will work on establishing an airline between Podgorica and Sofia, as well as on communication between the ministries of tourism of Montenegro and Bulgaria regarding a joint approach towards distant markets, will be formed by the end of the month, announced Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordić.
At a meeting with the Bulgarian Ambassador to Montenegro, Stefan Dimitrov, she said that the performance should be ready ahead of EXPO 2025 in Japan.
The Ministry of Tourism announced that Dimitrov conveyed positive impressions after the Montenegrin delegation's visit to Sofia and the meeting at which the launch of an airline between Podgorica and Sofia was agreed in principle.
"I look forward to continuing our cooperation in the future. We have started on the right path, which will strengthen both our mutual relations and the region's tourism offer," said Dimitrov.
Kordić also announced that during her official visit to New York, she recognized greater interest among tourists in Montenegro, but also an opportunity for even better positioning if we act together as a region towards distant target markets, such as the US.
