Land for a new business complex

The coal mine (RUP) bought 14.000 square meters of land at a public auction announced by the bankruptcy administrator of Pljevlja's "Vektra Jakić". The land, located along the main road to Podgorica, not far from the Potrlica mine, was purchased by RUP for 181.000 euros, which is 13 euros per square meter. The land was sold at a starting price of 173.000 euros.

Rudnik pointed out that by purchasing this land, they have unified the area where the business and tourist complex, which was previously presented to the public, should be built.

The Mine expects to prepare the documentation by the end of the year and begin developing the project.

Executive Director of RUP Nemanja Laković He previously said that this location has enormous potential for development, because every year around 800.000 vehicles pass through the road leading to Podgorica and Prijepoj during the summer season.

"Given that it is located on the main highway where there is a high frequency of tourists, especially in the summer months, who travel from Serbia to the Montenegrin coast, this plot has a very attractive value and can be used for business purposes. I would like to point out that in addition to the recultivated part of the mine, we will also have a new course of the Ćehotina River in this area, in accordance with a project that is urgent for us and must be completed in a very short period of time. Considering the above, this area is interesting for all people who want to invest, and I must emphasize that we have already spoken with potential investors who find this location extremely attractive," said Laković.

The complex will cover 90.000 square meters, and construction will take place in two phases. The first phase will include modern retail spaces, cafes and restaurants, while the second phase will include a cinema, children's play areas and a national cuisine facility. A total of 523 parking spaces for cars and 9 for buses are planned.

The project promises to create around 200 new jobs and transform the area into an attractive destination for tourists and locals. It is designed as a combination of commercial facilities, green areas and modern facilities, thus contributing to both the ecological and socio-economic development of Pljevlja.

"Vijesti" previously wrote that RUP is scheduled to begin construction of the building in the spring, and the apartments will mostly be intended for employees of the company.
