The snow that fell last night has allowed the ski season to resume on Bjelasica. As the manager of the state-run Kolašin 1600 Ski Center, Bojan Medenica, told Vijesti, the K8 ski lift and eight trails that follow it will be operational again from tomorrow, as well as a training ground for beginners.

"There was about 30 cm of snow at the foot of the slopes and about 40 cm of snow at the top of the slopes. This has enabled the continuation of the ski season, and the K8 cable car and the slopes that follow it will be operational, as well as the beginners' training ground. Unfortunately, two new ski lifts will not yet be available to skiers, as they are still waiting for a permit to use them. It is incomprehensible that the technical acceptance has not been completed for two months, and these lifts will not be operational tomorrow either," said Medenica.

The Board of Directors of the Ski Resorts of Montenegro, as told to Vijesti, decided at today's electronic meeting to reduce ski pass prices by 20 percent by the end of the 2025 winter season.

"The board instructs management to prepare a discounted price list and issue a sales order for the new prices, which should come into effect on February 15, 2025. Management is tasked with urgently making the information about the discount public and additionally marketing this measure on the domestic market, as well as on the Albanian and Serbian markets, as destinations from which the largest number of skiers come. The board is concerned about the lack of care on the part of the Directorate for Capital Investments, contractors and supervision regarding the failure to put the two new lifts into operation," the board of directors announced.

They remind that the construction of the "sidro" and "tanjir" type ski lifts was completed at the end of the summer, but to this day they have not received a permit to use. The committee will, they announce, additionally address the Prime Minister of Montenegro regarding this problem.

Since the start of the winter tourist season, on December 21st last year, there have been only 1600 ski days at the Kolašin 15 ski resort. After the rain and melting snow on Bjelasica, there was a mass cancellation of reservations, especially in private accommodation, but also a low number of visits to the ski resorts.
