The Ministry of Regional Investment Development and Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations will, as announced, take all necessary steps to achieve more efficient implementation of projects in Bijelo Polje and accelerate its development.
The relevant Minister Ernad Suljević and State Secretary Mirsada Bošnjak paid an official visit to the Municipality of Bijelo Polje, where they met with the Mayor of the Municipality Petar Smolović and the President of the Municipal Assembly Selma Omerović and their associates.
The focus of the conversation was on the challenges that local governments and the Capital Projects Administration face in the implementation of capital projects, with special attention to the Đalovića Cave projects, the Cmiljače Ski Center, as well as projects in the field of oelology and environmental protection.
Suljević, as announced, provided full support for the continuation of the aforementioned projects.
He also announced the formation of a working team that will continuously monitor the progress of the aforementioned projects.
"Bijelo Polje has great potential, and our priority is the continuation of capital investments that improve the quality of life of citizens and that will accelerate the economic development of the city and the valorization of all potentials available to the Municipality. All projects that bring long-term benefits have our full support, and with efficient coordination and joint efforts, I am sure that we can achieve significant results," said Suljević.
In addition to large capital projects, Suljević also emphasized the importance of implementing smaller infrastructure projects, especially those that have a major impact on improving the quality of life of the population that gravitates towards rural areas.
Suljević also emphasized the importance of support and cooperation with local non-governmental organizations, which play a significant role in implementing public policies, emphasizing the importance of forming a Council for Cooperation between Local Self-Government and Non-Governmental Organizations and issuing calls for funding projects at the local level.
Smolović said that work on the cable car for Đalovića Cave is expected to be completed soon, and that, with the support of the Ministry headed by Minister Suljević, work on the Cmiljača Ski Center will continue to ensure further progress and successful implementation of this strategically important project.
The meeting was also attended by the Acting Director General of the Directorate for Investment Development at the Ministry, Šefko Kurpejović, while the Investment Agency of Montenegro (MIA) was represented by Director Snežana Đurović with associate Merlina Tošić, and the Capital Projects Directorate was represented by Assistant Director Maja Delić with associate Bojana Mitrić.
Đurović emphasized the importance of investing in infrastructure and tourism projects, emphasizing that such initiatives are key to attracting new investments and the economic development of northern Montenegro.
