The government did not appoint Aleksa Đekić as Acting (acting) Director General of the Directorate for Forestry, Hunting and Wood Industry at the Ministry of Agriculture, because the proposal for his appointment was withdrawn.
According to information from the Government website, Đekić was proposed for this position by the Minister of Agriculture Vladimir Joković, which the executive branch approved on February 20, but in the process of adopting the minutes of today's Government session, the proposal was withdrawn.
Both Joković and Đekić belong to the Socialist People's Party (SNP).
Đekić was also the former acting executive director of the Health Center in Herceg Novi, and in November last year he was sentenced to three months in prison on a suspended sentence for the crime of violating the right to file a legal appeal. The verdict was handed down by the Basic Court in Herceg Novi, and confirmed by the Higher Court.
The Commission has tightened the conditions
Đekić's appointment also passed the Commission for Personnel and Administrative Issues, which then, as "Vijesti" has learned, sent a letter to all government departments on February 21st stating that personnel issues have been under public scrutiny for a long time and that it is necessary for the proposer to determine that the candidate meets the legal requirements before proposing.
The Commission emphasized that, along with a reasoned proposal for the election or appointment of a public official, a criminal record extract and a certificate from the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption must be submitted.
They pointed out that incomplete proposals submitted to the Commission would not be considered.
Đekić was appointed acting director of the Herceg Novi Health Center at the end of 2022, a position he held until January 1 last year. His leadership of the health facility was marked by protests over his appointment and dissatisfaction with the management's work. He was also appointed to the head of the Herceg Novi Health Center by the then Minister of Health, Dragoslav Šćekić (SNP), while Đekić had previously been a municipal police officer.
According to the withdrawn proposal, Đekić is a law graduate.
"A.Đ. was found guilty of the criminal offense of violation of the right to file a legal remedy, because it was established that on March 02.03.2023, 02.03.2023 in Herceg Novi, as an official - the then acting director of the health institution 'Dom zdravlja Herceg Novi' in the performance of his duties, the defendant A.Đ. prevented the injured party T.Đ., who was employed in that health institution as a nurse, from exercising the right to file a submission, by the way that, after reviewing the injured party's submission, he ordered the secretary NL not to file the injured party's submission marked as 'complaint of the PHI Dom zdravlja Herceg Novi, n/r acting director A.Đ. dated March XNUMX, XNUMX', which is why the secretary informed the injured party T.Đ. that the submission was not filed because the director ordered her to do so, and returned it to the injured party without a receipt stamp and case number," reads the statement of the Basic Court of Herceg Novi from November last year.
