The value of the purchase and sale of agricultural, forestry and fishery products from business entities and cooperatives with two or more employees in the fourth quarter of last year amounted to 12,4 million euros.
Monstat announced that the value of sales from own production was 4,6 million euros or 37 percent, while the value of purchases from individual agricultural producers was 7,8 million euros or 63 percent.
"The value of purchases and sales of agricultural, forestry and fishery products from business entities and cooperatives with two or more employees in the fourth quarter of last year, compared to the same quarter of 2023, recorded a decrease of 3,8 percent, with a decrease in the value of sales from business entities' own production of 3,5 percent," the statement said.
A four percent decline in the value of purchases of agricultural products from individual producers was also recorded.
In the structure of the value of purchase and sale of agricultural, forestry and fishery products in the fourth quarter of last year, raw cow's milk accounted for 21,1 percent, livestock by species and categories 20,6 percent, chicken eggs 20,1 percent, fresh vegetables 11,9 percent, other products 11 percent, fresh fish 6,8 percent, fresh fruit 6,6 percent, industrial plants one percent and fruit and grape products 0,9 percent.
