The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Dialogue has extended the deadline for submitting documentation until April 30th in order to compensate former workers of the Aluminum Plant (KAP), whose housing funds were spent for other purposes, and whose employment was terminated due to bankruptcy.
The public call was announced on December 5th and originally ran until March 1st.
"Due to the need to collect the necessary documentation, the previously set deadline is being extended to April 30th," the statement said.
The Ministry, as previously reported by the media, wants to establish the factual situation in order to prepare a social program for former KAP workers.
At its session on November 15, the Government adopted a conclusion adopting the Information on the need to resolve the housing stock of KAP workers.
"In this regard, former KAP employees whose employment was terminated due to the opening of bankruptcy and who have not resolved their housing issue through KAP are hereby informed that the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Dialogue will prepare a social program to compensate these employees. This measure does not include employees of the Processing Plant and the Forge, whose employees were not an integral part of KAP," the public invitation states.
