The founder of the Nikšić-based company NTC Logistics, Ranko Jovović, and the founder and CEO of Agromont from Nikšić, Božidar Jokić, are entrepreneurs of the year, according to the decision of the Association of Managers (AMM).
The Manager of the Year in joint-stock companies for last year is the President of the Board of Directors (BoD) of Addiko Bank Podgorica, Kristof Šon.
The AMM Board of Directors, upon the proposal of the Presidency, which considered 71 candidacies, decided to award the most prestigious business award at the national level in 12 categories.
AMM announced that the managers of the year in the field of corporate governance are the President of the Board of Directors of Lovćen Bank, Miloš Miketić, and the Executive Director of GRAWE Non-Life Insurance, Ivan Lero.
The Manager of the Year in large companies is the CEO of Okov, Gojko Bajović, in medium-sized companies the founder and CEO of Castellana Co from Tuzi, Anton Vuljaj, and in small companies the founder and CEO of Tivat-based Milo&Chaysa, Bojan Joketić.
The Managers of the Year in Micro Enterprises are the founder and authorized person of the House of Fashion and Beauty Zoran, Zoran Vukčević, and the founder and CEO of Communication Studio Cassiopeia, Adrijana Husić.
The Young Managers of the Year are the founder and CEO of the company Klikovac from Zeta, Miloš Klikovac, and the founder and CEO of the company Pelengić Trade from Bijelo Polje, Kristina Pelengić Popović.
The Project Manager of the Year is the founder and CEO of Bixbit from Bijelo Polje, Stevan Šandi.
The Manager of the Year in companies majority-owned by the state is the director of Radio and Television Nikšić, Nikola Marković.
The best institution for education and training is the University of Montenegro, and the best employer for children and families is the company NELT MNE.
"Under the institutional patronage of the Government, this award has for years represented the pinnacle of recognition for exceptional achievements in leadership, innovation and corporate social responsibility," the statement said.
This year's laureates come from various sectors - from food production and processing, catering, tourism, banking and insurance, through logistics, trade, construction and education, to IT and the creative industry.
"Recording growth in revenue, profit, investment and employment, the award winners last year achieved total revenue of around 215 million euros, a net profit of 25 million, invested close to 48 million and employed more than 1,7 thousand employees," AMM specified.
Business leaders - the winners of this year's awards - have not only achieved impressive business results, but have also demonstrated exceptional commitment to social responsibility, support for youth, education, sports and culture.
"With such notable results and social responsibility, the laureates and their companies contribute to the economic development of Montenegro," the statement said.
The gala award ceremony will be held on May 14th at the Knjaz Estate in Podgorica, starting at ten o'clock.
"This prestigious award once again confirms the importance of exceptional leaders and entrepreneurs who shape the future of the Montenegrin economy with their knowledge, vision and innovation," the statement concludes.
