Councilors of the Civic Movement URA today requested an urgent session of the Ulcinj Municipal Assembly, after the company "Eagle Hills Montenegro", backed by Arab capital, made the highest financial offers for the lease of more than ten beaches on Velika Plaza.
As stated in the request, the reason for this is the situation that arose due to the tender by the Coastal State for the lease of the bathing area. The request also states that they expect the board to convene as soon as possible in order to determine the topics and date of the session.
"We do not accept the scandalous tender of the Coastal State for beaches, through which the Government of Montenegro directly participates in the destruction of our city, nor any compromise that former beach tenants rent the same beaches from a company that is trying to buy the entire city of Ulcinj," the statement reads.
