Members of the Board of Directors of the Public Company for the Management of the Coastal Zone, also representatives of all parties that make up the ruling coalition at the state level, at an emergency meeting held yesterday, gave their support to Mladen Mikijelj for another term at the head of the Coastal Zone.
They called on the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property to urgently appoint a head of this state-owned company for its smooth functioning.
As Vijesti has learned, members of the Board of Directors individually pointed to the decisive results of Mikijelj, whose term of office recently expired.
Particularly noteworthy is the success in the part related to the return of the Kamenari - Lepetani ferry line, the Port of Budva, the beaches owned by Vektra Boka, the multiple increase in revenue in just four years...
"Vijesti" learned from the Public Enterprise for the Management of the Coastal Zone of Montenegro that there is concern about the company's work being stalled due to the delay in making a decision on the appointment of a new director, as this company is currently in the public spotlight due to the tender for bathing areas, and there is no manager who represents and advocates for this company, and that there is no authorized person who can sign the documentation, which is why the stall has occurred.
In the last few days, the public has become aware of the fact that in all cities on the Montenegrin coast there has been a drastic increase in offers for multi-year leases of bathing areas.
This confirms the strategy advocated by Mikijelj and the relevant ministry, and supported by the Government of Montenegro, as the latest offers guarantee at least 25 million euros more in the state treasury than five years ago.
The session of this Board of Directors concluded with an urgent request to the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property to immediately submit to the Government a proposal for the appointment of a new director and for JP Morsko dobro to resume uninterrupted and legal operations.
