Mohamed Alabar, founder of Emaar Properties and president of Eagle Hills Properties, said that any beach on Ulcinj's Velika Plaza that may be leased in the Coastal Zone tender will be returned to the previous tenants for use at the same price.
The company "Eagle Hills Montenegro", backed by Arab capital, submitted the highest financial bids for several beaches on Velika Plaza. The official results of the tender have not yet been announced.
"This decision reflects Mr. Alabar's commitment to supporting local businesses, preserving jobs and investing in infrastructure around the beach, to improve the overall experience for both visitors and residents," the Eagle Hills Group of Abu Dhabi said in a statement.
Alabar said that his vision for Velika Plaza is development based on the principle of "community first", with the goal of future cooperation and investment opportunities.
He said that "Montenegro's natural beauty and cultural heritage are treasures that must be preserved."
"Through this approach, we want to improve infrastructure and raise the quality of beach life, ensuring that tourism and development benefit both the community and the environment," the statement reads.
