The aim of the amendments to the Law on Employment Mediation and Rights during Unemployment is to create a legal basis for a smooth process of digitalization of the Employment Agency of Montenegro, announced the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Naida Nišić at yesterday's session of the Parliament of Montenegro.
"This reform will enable faster and better provision of services on the labor market, both to unemployed persons and job seekers, as well as to employers," said Nišić.
Nišić pointed out that the key innovations in the amendments to the law relate to the fact that unemployed persons will in the future be able to register with the Employment Service not only in person, but also electronically.
"They will also be able to submit applications for exercising their rights during unemployment in digital form, in addition to the previous options of direct submission or sending by mail," said Nišić.
She added that digitalization will also facilitate procedures for employers, who will in the future be able to register job vacancies, as well as the establishment and termination of employment, electronically.
"In this way, we have enabled citizens and employers to save significant time and reduce administrative barriers. The Institute's digital services will be available 24/7, enabling faster and more efficient processing of requests, greater transparency and easier access to information about job vacancies," explained Nišić.
Nišić emphasized that in addition to the above, costs associated with the arrival and printing of documents will be reduced, while more secure data recording and automated processing will further improve the quality of services.
"With these changes, we are taking a significant step towards the modernization and digitalization of the Employment Service, which will increase the efficiency of the system and improve the availability of services to both citizens and businesses," concluded Nišić.
