More than 200 French companies currently operate in Montenegro, which represent a solid foundation for further deepening economic cooperation, announced Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović.
He invited French investors to consider potential projects in priority sectors.
Milatović organized a working breakfast with a delegation of French businessmen, led by the General Director of MEDEF International, Philippe Gautier, who is on an official visit to Montenegro.
Milatović, as announced by his Public Relations Office, expressed his satisfaction with the arrival of the delegation, emphasizing the importance of strengthening economic ties between Montenegro and France, which are characterized by friendly relations and mutual interest in deeper economic cooperation.
Milatović pointed out that Montenegro, as the most advanced candidate for EU membership, with the aim of becoming a member by 2028, is striving to intensify the inflow of foreign direct investment, saying that we want more French companies in Montenegro.
He noted that Montenegro offers an attractive and stable business environment with a competitive tax system, as well as equal conditions for domestic and foreign investors.
Possibilities for deepening cooperation in key areas for the development of Montenegro were discussed - energy, ecology, infrastructure, tourism and healthcare, where French companies have rich experience and technological expertise.
French businessmen thanked for the reception, expressing their interest in investing in our country and assessing that there is significant room for further strengthening economic ties.
