Bajraktari: We are not against investments, but we are against Velika Plaza being illegally turned into private property

We rejected the intention of the Government of Montenegro to sell the entire Velika Plaza in a bizarre manner, which violates all laws of Montenegro and all spatial plans in force, said the president of the Ulcinj board of the Civic Movement URA, Omer Bajraktari, after the Ulcinj Municipal Assembly unanimously adopted conclusions expressing opposition to the controversial agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the United Arab Emirates.

"We are not against investments, but we are against this method of valorization and the intention to give the entire Velika Plaza to one investor in a non-transparent and illegal manner, turning the entire zone into private and inaccessible property," Bajraktari said in a statement to the media.
