"In March 2024, Milojko Spajić and his government indebted Montenegro for 680 million euros, and in March 2025, they indebted all citizens for another 850 million euros, and when we add interest to that, as well as previous debts in smaller amounts, we arrive at a worrying figure of more than two billion euros in the year and four months since the 44th Government was formed," said Miloš Konatar, head of the Civic Movement URA parliamentary group.
He said that this behavior of Spajić and his ministers "is not harmless, but can be very dangerous for future generations of Montenegro, because this debt of over two billion euros will be due in six to seven years, in 2031 and 2032."
"Is it responsible for Spajić's government to leave a debt of over two billion euros to future generations in just a year and a few months, because those who come after us will have to repay that debt? If it's from Spajić, it's a lot," said Konatar.
