The Municipality of Ulcinj has announced a tender for the development of the main project for the construction of an infrastructure facility - the expansion of the "Mandrač" mooring on the western side of the Suka peninsula, or on the eastern side of Mala Plaza.

The tender, which was announced on Wednesday, will be open for 120 days, and its value is 70 thousand euros.

Secretary for Investments Minir Karamanaga He said that the project leader is the Municipality of Ulcinj, in continuous coordination with the Public Company for Coastal Zone Management (PK).

"I hope that after the main project is prepared, the public company will help us finalize the financial structure and announce a tender for the best contractor. At the same time, I expect support from the relevant ministries," Karamanaga told "Vijesti".

He stated that it is planned that "Mandrač" will have at least 70 moorings.

The tender announcement was preceded by the Municipal Decision of December 31, 2024 on determining the location with elements of urban planning and technical conditions for the construction of a local facility of general interest.

The conceptual design was developed by the Ulcinj-based company "Linea architecture & design", and the geodetic study and bathymetry on the cadastral basis were developed by the geodetic organization "Hidro-Baza - agregati" doo Belgrade.

The decision states that the new solution will provide for the expansion of the existing mooring and will regulate the issue of anchoring fishing, tourist and recreational sports boats, the lack of parking spaces for boats, as well as their maintenance.

It is emphasized that during planning, care must be taken to ensure that the facilities are as well integrated into the existing environment and supporting infrastructure as possible.

Karamanaga said that the first phase of the project will involve the construction of a breakwater, and the second phase will include supporting facilities.
