Europe Now Movement MP Miodrag Laković assessed that the "dramatic effect" before the local elections is "more important to some" than Montenegro's investment reputation.
"The 'guardians' of Velika Plaza have raised pitchforks and torches to sign an interstate agreement that does not mention Ulcinj or Velika Plaza. It has been nicely explained in both the Parliament and the Government that local communities will have the key say in potential investment projects. But, the dramatic effect before the local elections is more important to some than Montenegro's investment reputation, unfortunately," he wrote on Iks.
CIVIS MP Maja Vučelić responded to this, saying that every city is ruined by illegal construction.
"Chaos has been created instead of a beautiful coastal ambiance. Politicians from parties during whose rule there was a boom in illegal construction on the coast are protesting that finally some area would be completely planned," she wrote.
"And in addition to the illegal construction, we are still feeling the consequences of the work of their privileged investors who left only ruins of the once renowned hotels As in Perazića dol, Plavi Horizonti in Radovići, Fjord in Kotor, Vektra - Boka Tsunami in Herceg Novi, etc.," added Laković.
