Morsko dobro: We will collect guarantees and repeat the tender if the bidders for millions give up on renting the beaches

Bidders with million-dollar bids for beach leases will be invited to conclude contracts; otherwise, if they refuse, they will be charged the bank guarantee they submitted, and the tender for that beach will be repeated.

This is the decision of the Board of Directors of the Public Company for Coastal Zone Management, which, as confirmed to "Vijesti", was made today at a marathon meeting.

Minister of Spatial Planning and Urbanism Slaven Radunović announced on the eve of the weekend, while appearing on the public service with the director of this public company, Mladen Mikijelj, that such a scenario would be applied in cases where astronomical figures were offered for beach rentals, reaching 6,5 million euros per season.

In the middle of last week, Mikijelj called on the Special State Prosecutor's Office and the Police Directorate to investigate offers for beach leases that, according to the public company, were unrealistic due to suspicions of money laundering.
