Representatives of the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA) and the JAA Training Organization (JAA TO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The CAA says that this document, signed yesterday in Amsterdam, is of great importance for increasing the Agency's professional capacities and organizational efficiency.
They said that the agreement also demonstrates a commitment to strengthening the regulatory and supervisory role of the Montenegrin aviation authority, adopting the highest standards in this area, as well as improving the safety and security of air traffic.
"A wide range of specialized JAA TO training programs covering key areas, including safety, security, unmanned aircraft systems, search and rescue, and access to the EASA Virtual Academy, are provided, among other things, which provides the ACV with additional development opportunities," the statement reads.
The Director of the Civil Aviation Agency, Ivan Šćekić, emphasized that the partnership with JAA TO, through renewed cooperation, is particularly important in harmonizing national regulations with European and international standards.
"Adjusted training programs will significantly improve the capacities of the CAA and contribute to the continuous professional development of our staff," said Šćekić, after signing the agreement.
The agency announced that the memorandum, with numerous opportunities, more intensive activities and benefits in one-year training, encourages the exchange of methodologies and experiences between the CAA and JAA TO.
“The agreement represents a shared commitment to promoting the highest regulatory standards and building the capacity necessary to address the complex challenges in civil aviation,” said JAA TO Executive Director Paula Vieira de Almeida.
The deepening of cooperation also signifies support in fulfilling the mission of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), given that JAA TO is an affiliated body of that organization, the statement says.
