The Board of Directors of the State Enterprise Ski Resorts of Montenegro (SCG), according to unofficial information from "Vijesti", today dismissed the executive director of the company, Đuro Milošević.
Also, according to unofficial information, the previous manager of the Kolašin 1600 Ski Center, Bojan Medenica, has been appointed in his place.
Milošević was dismissed, allegedly for "failing to comply with the decisions of the Board of Directors and disrespecting the decisions of the competent state bodies", and his dismissal, as "Vijesti" was unofficially told, was initiated by board member Miljan Žarković.
His proposal was also to appoint Medenica, and the three-member Board of Directors voted unanimously.
Members of the Board of Directors did not respond to "Vijesti's" calls today, nor did Milošević, who was not at the Board of Directors meeting. The term of office of the current executive director of the Montenegrin Ski Resort was due to expire in December.
After two winter seasons with only about 20 ski days, the Skijališta Crne Gore company is in an unenviable financial situation, and Milošević told "Vijesti" a few weeks ago that the payment of salaries to employees in the coming months is uncertain.
The trade union organization of the Kolašin 1600 Ski Center recently sought the government's help in overcoming challenges at the company.
