The "Budvanska Riviera" hotel group announced that there is no sale of the "Mogren" hotel in Budva.
The state-owned company assessed that the statements of the owner of the company "Mercur" Milan Mrvaljević that such a sale is being prepared and in agreement with Svetozar Marović "malicious and calculated to undermine the hotel group's business image."
"The management of 'Budvanska Riviera', starting in 2021, is fully committed to legal and responsible management and investments so that our company continues to be a leader in the Montenegrin and wider market. In the last few months, the Montenegrin public has repeatedly witnessed the announcement of the reconstruction of the 'Mogren' hotel, so that it would be put into full function and be a recognizable gathering place in the exclusive zone of the Old Town. Legal, technical and other preparations for the reconstruction of the 'Mogren' hotel are in full swing and the citizens of Budva and Montenegro will be informed about them in a timely manner. In this regard, Mr. Milana Mrvaljević's statements that the 'Mogren' hotel will be sold and the connection of the convicted person Svetozar Marović with it represent cheap populism and the domain of science fiction.
"Such tendentious statements by the owner of the 'Merkur' company will not prevent the management of the 'Budvanska Riviera' from improving its business and accommodation capacities for the benefit of our guests and citizens of Budva through well-considered policies and planned investments. We would like to remind you that as of this summer, the 'Slovenska plaža' tourist resort will be completely renovated and upgraded to a 4* level, and that the next, sure project is the reconstruction of the 'Mogren' hotel, which neither Milan Mrvaljević nor Svetozar Marović, fortunately, can influence, let alone prevent," the statement said.
