The reconstruction of the M-5 Rožaje-Špiljani highway, or the Rožaje-Most Zeleni section, about 1,2 kilometers long, has begun, the Traffic Administration announced.
The value of the works, excluding value added tax (VAT), is approximately 830 thousand euros, and the contractor is the company Tofi.
The completion deadline is four months from the start of work.
The Administration explained that the reconstruction of this section is particularly important for the safety of pedestrians and drivers, because it is located in a populated area with a high traffic frequency.
"As part of the works, sidewalks will also be built, which will provide residents of this part of Rožaje with safer conditions for movement," announced the Traffic Administration.
They added that the reconstruction of main and regional roads is among their priorities, as it contributes to improving traffic safety, extends the lifespan of road infrastructure, and enables better connectivity between municipalities.
