At today's meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Security, Defense, Fight against Crime and Internal Policy Aleksa Bečić, the Government adopted the Program of Incentive Measures in the Field of Tourism for 2025.
Financial resources for the implementation of the Program are projected at the amount of 1.430.053,42 euros.
The government announced that the goal of the program is to enrich and improve the quality of the tourist offer while improving marketing activities in order to attract tourists from new source markets, and towards generating greater tourism revenues, extending the tourist season, increasing the occupancy rate of accommodation capacities, consumption and employment.
The program includes seven support measures: support for organizing events/festivals; improving the offer and raising the quality of services in rural tourism; improving the quality of the tourist offer and digitalization; support for the development of MICE tourism; support for organizing study visits for tour operators and travel agencies; partnership with tour operators and travel agencies in promoting Montenegro as a tourist destination; support for improving organized air arrivals through a joint marketing campaign with tour operators.
"Funds for incentive measures are allocated through public calls conducted by the Ministry and the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro. Financial resources for the implementation of the Program are projected at 1.430.053,42 euros. On this occasion, the Ministry of Tourism is tasked with allocating 550.000 euros from its own funds for the implementation of the Program, and the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro is tasked with allocating 470.000 euros, as well as 410.053,42 euros for the implementation of the measure Support for the improvement of organized air arrivals through a joint marketing campaign with tour operators," the statement reads.
