The Association of Tenants – Moj dom founded the first social enterprise Moj dom invest, whose mission is to build affordable housing for tenants and socially vulnerable citizens.
"Our idea is not to build a square for sale – but a community for living. For the first time, tenants are given a mechanism through which they can be part of change, not just its observers," said the Tenants' Association.
Moj dom invest, as they explained, is already working on preparing the first pilot project for the construction of a residential building, with a model that includes a combination of affordable rent, long-term lease, and the possibility of entering into ownership without classic market logic.
"We call on all tenants, municipalities, institutions, construction partners and donors to recognize this unique model and provide support," the statement said.
The Association said that they are open to cooperation with professional and motivated associates who want to contribute to the fastest and most efficient realization of goals.
"Whether you come from the fields of architecture, construction, law, economics, social work, or have experience in project management and community work - we invite you to be part of this pioneering initiative," the statement concludes.
